What is ShoreKart?

How do I create an account?
It is free to register for an ShoreKart Business account, All you’ll need are your basic business and contact details and you’re ready to go! To speed up verification, have these documents ready: GST certificate or Business PAN and Company Information (e.g.: Name, Registered address) at the time of registration. Your application will be reviewed, with approvals usually taking 24 hours. Once approved, you’ll have the power to browse and buy seafood from some of the best fisheries at your fingertips.
How do we place an order for product?
You can generally find the products of your choice on our platform and order them in few simple steps. If you need a specific product in large quantity (FCL) or require specific customization, you can enquire on the same and our team will get back to you with the appropriate quote.
What are the payment options/modes available to the buyer?
We accept multiple modes of payment (NEFT/RTGS/Online), and buyers pay 10-25% of the total amount for order confirmation (depending on order value), and rest on delivery
Can I see the supplier I’m ordering from?
Domestic Orders:
We don’t provide details of the supplier on our marketplace for Domestic orders, but you are able to see the city the offer comes from, the location reference where the stock was caught, and the fishing method used. We also provide a supplier accuracy score once a certain number of orders have been fulfilled, indicating how accurately the supplier grades the quality of their product against industry benchmarks.
International Orders:
For International Exports we can provide the Exporter or Manufacturer details.
What is the minimum order quantity? How will it affect product pricing? Will it have an impact on the shipping and other associated costs?
There is no minimum order quantity. We will deliver even a single product to the buyer – however there will be appropriate shipping and handling costs involved on that
Will the goods be delivered to the buyers location / warehouse, or does the service cover only till the port custom clearance?
In case of Direct Import orders, we do offer many delivery services including door to door (duty payment and custom clearance, and last mile delivery). You can choose your preferred delivery option and we will make that happen
How can I ensure I’m seeing the best offers?
We ensure that all offers on our marketplace are visible to everyone. We will also keep you informed of the best deals for the fish you’re most interested in based on the preferences you’ve set in your account.
When am I invoiced for purchases?
Invoices are available to view within the invoices page of your account as soon as you’ve placed the order.
How does delivery work?
ShoreKart has an integrated end-to-end cold chain logistics system. Multiple delivery options will be presented at checkout with estimated delivery dates for you to choose from. Once your order is on the way, we’ll send you real time updates on it’s delivery status.
Does it cost anything to have a Buyer Account on ShoreKart?
There are no joining or account fees on ShoreKart. Simply pay for the products you purchase and any associated delivery costs.
How do I add listings and can I make changes to them?
Adding a listing is a seamless process that you can do per product or via a bulk upload. Once listed, changes can be easily made and will be instantly reflected to buyers.
Are there as many products as the fish markets?
There are hundreds of approved product types to be sold on ShoreKart. Availability of these products will depend on Sellers’ supply, seasonality, and other market factors.
